One of the biggest stories from the 2026 summer transfer window has been the speculation surrounding Vinicius Junior.
The Real Madrid and Brazil forward has been linked to the Premier League, with a shock move to Arsenal.
However, Real Madrid have ended the speculation by announcing that Vinicius Jr has signed a new contract until 2032.

The club statement read, “Real Madrid C. F. and Vinicius Jr. have agreed on the extension of our player’s contract, which links him to the club until June 30, 2032.”
The new six-year deal puts an end to all the speculation regarding his immediate future.
With just one year remaining on his previous deal, Arsenal were monitoring the situation in case Vinicius and Real Madrid failed to reach an agreement.
“Eight years at the Bernabeu is too short…six more years and forever,” Vinicius posted on his Instagram.
The Brazil international has been with Los Blancos since he was 18 years old, joining from Brazilian club Flamengo.

Vinicius rewarded after trophy-filled spell
In his eight seasons at the club, Vinicius has heavily contributed to domestic and continental success, with the club saying that he “has become one of the most important players in one of the most successful periods in our history.”
In 375 appearances, he has scored 128 goals, and provided 100 assists.
He also has 14 titles to his name as a Real Madrid player. These include two Champions League titles, three Club World Cups, two UEFA Super Cups, three LaLiga titles, one Copa del Rey, and three Spanish Super Cups.
As a standout player throughout the years, individual accolades have also followed.
His performances have also been recognised individually.
Vinicius won The Best FIFA Men’s Player award in 2024 and was named the Champions League Player of the Season in 2023/24.
He was also awarded the Golden Ball of the Club World Cup 2022, and the Best Young Player of the Champions League 2021/2022.
Vinicius has also been included in the FIFA World XI (2024), twice in the FIFA FIFPro World11 (2023 and 2024), and three times in the Champions League Team of the Season (2021/2022, 2022/2023, and 2023/2024).
Vinicius’ renewal brings one of the summer’s biggest transfer stories to an end, with Arsenal now likely to turn their attention elsewhere as Real Madrid secure one of world football’s brightest stars for another six years.
