JADEN DIXON’S POTENTIAL
Many were expecting Arsenal to bring in a midfielder for the first team this January following the injury news for Mikel Merino.
The 29-year-old looks set to miss the rest of the season with a foot injury.
It may come as a surprise, then, that Arsenal instead look set to strengthen their academy at centre-back instead.
This would be a smart move though; Dixon is a huge talent, and has been on the radar of many top clubs.
He looks set to put pen to paper on a four-year contract at the Emirates.
The reported fee is around £3.2m plus add-ons, a big fee for an 18-year-old.
Dixon will be provided with a clear pathway to the first team should be make the switch.
It may not be the deadline day news Gunners were hoping for, but Dixon could be a very exciting signing for the future of the club.
