Newcastle United captain Bruno Guimaraes has told the club he wants to join Arsenal following Brazil’s exit from the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The midfielder has informed Newcastle of his desire to leave St James’ Park this summer, although Arsenal are yet to make official contact with the Magpies over a potential transfer.

Guimaraes has been one of Newcastle’s most important players since joining from Lyon in January 2022.
