Arsenal news: Three attackers Mikel Arteta should sign - Nico Williams and Dusan Vlahovic included

Arsenal are in need of reinforcements in all areas of attack to sustain their Premier League title hopes this season.

Kai Havertz is currently the only fit option to play as a number nine, due to the suspected ACL rupture to Gabriel Jesus.

Bukayo Saka is undoubtedly Arsenal’s best-attacking threat – however, he is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury.

The performances and output of Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard have also solidified the need for more quality in attack for the Gunners.

Raheem Sterling has also rarely featured since joining the club on loan from Chelsea, making just 12 appearances so far this season.

Transfer News Blitz writer Josh Kirtley has explored three ideal signings that could reignite Arsenal’s attacking power.

Antoine Semenyo, AFC Bournemouth

Arsenal have suffered since the injury to Saka, as the Gunners squad lacks a natural right-sided replacement in his absence.

With Martinelli and Trossard both preferring a role off the left, young academy graduate Ethan Nwaneri has been used on the right, however, is seen as a natural midfield player.

Antoine Semenyo has impressed for the Cherries this season, with six goals and three assists in 21 appearances in all competitions.

His ability to play across the frontline and proven quality in the Premier League would make him a suitable option for Arteta’s side, as he would add some much-needed depth in attacking areas and rotate well with Saka.

However, according to the Northern Echo, Bournemouth would want £50million to secure his services so a move to North London could prove to be difficult.

Nico Williams, Athletic Bilbao

Arsenal have previously been linked with the 22-year-old winger, who lit up last summer’s European Championships with Spain.

Nico Williams’ explosiveness, 1v1 threat and ball-carrying ability would almost mirror what they have on the right-hand side when Saka is fit, giving Arsenal an extra sharpness and threat in the final third that they have perhaps lacked this season.

The Spaniard scored eight goals and registered 16 assists for the Basque club last season and made the official Euro 2024 team of the tournament.

According to The Mirror, Williams has a £50million release clause in his contract which could be triggered in January, however, a potential stumbling block could be his wage demands.

It is rumoured, he would want in excess of £300,000 per week which would put him amongst the squad's highest earners.

Dusan Vlahovic, Juventus

In my opinion, a centre-forward is Arsenal’s number one priority and Dusan Vlahovic is a ready-made option that could come in and have an instant impact.

Havertz is not an out-and-out centre-forward, and questions have been asked whether the German international as a starting option has enough firepower to sustain a title bid over the course of the season.

Jesus’ long-term injury has also increased the need for Arsenal to reinforce in this area.

The Serbian has an impressive goal return for Juve, scoring 53 goals in 124 games for The Old Lady.

Vlahovic turns 25 this month and has 189 Serie A games under his belt with a return of 84 goals.

According to TeamTalk, Juventus are willing to sell Vlahovic outright or include an obligation to buy should it be a loan approach.
