Chelsea news: Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr target Blues midfielder Moises Caicedo
Chelsea progressed to the UEFA Conference League semi-finals on Thursday after beating Polish side Legia Warsaw 4-2 over two legs.
The Blues now face a trip to Sweden, where they take on Djurgårdens - Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Lucas Bergvall’s former club - for a spot in the final.
Despite their European success, domestically, it has been a different story.
Enzo Maresca’s men have dropped to sixth place in the Premier League following an inconsistent run of form since the new year.
As the end of the season swiftly approaches, Chelsea will be gearing up for a busy summer, with reports suggesting several first-team players could be on the move, including Moisés Caicedo.
Saudi Pro League move on the cards
With the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mané, and Jhon Durán already in their ranks, Al Nassr are ready to bring in more European superstars this summer.
The Saudi Arabian outfit reportedly have Chelsea and Ecuador midfielder Caicedo at the top of their shopping list for the upcoming transfer window.
The 23-year-old only moved to Stamford Bridge in August 2023, with the Blues set to demand more than the £100million they spent on the Ecuadorian if they are to consider a sale.
Busy summer ahead
While Chelsea have always had a reputation for splashing the cash, the arrival of Todd Boehly in 2022 has taken the club’s spending to another level.
Since the American took over at Stamford Bridge little under three years ago, the Blues have forked out over £1billion in transfer fees.
With another busy transfer window anticipated in West London this summer, the departures of high-profile senior players are certainly not out of the realm of possibility.
