Real Madrid news: Florentino Perez open to selling Madrid and Brazil star Vinicius Junior for €300m
Vinicius Junior is highly regarded as one of the best players in the world, leaving many shocked that he didn’t win the 2024 Ballon d’Or.
The Brazilian is back in his typical top form, and naturally, clubs remain interested in signing the winger.
The race for the Real Madrid star
Although it will be very unlikely for Real Madrid to sell their star, clubs are aware that any proposal must be substantial to capture the LaLiga club’s attention.
No league can currently match the monetary allure of the Saudi Pro League.
Not to mention, it is a league that is often interested in bringing in football’s biggest stars, having already acquired Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar Jr. and Sadio Mane among others.
Reports indicate that Saudi Pro League officials are preparing a world-record €300 million bid for Vini Jr, coupled with a staggering €1billion contract offer for the Brazilian star.
The only way that the La Liga side will consider the offer is if the 24-year-old’s €1billion release clause is respected, and if Vini Jr. requests the move himself.
Strong ties and unfinished business
Vini Jr. is still ascending toward his peak, making him an even more mouthwatering prospect.
His potential move would be monumental for the Saudi Pro League, which has yet to secure a top player in such prime form.
However, the Brazilian is unlikely to make the request, with relations between himself and Real Madrid being as strong as ever.
It's reported that Los Blancos are eager to discuss new terms with Vini Jr., aiming to extend his stay at the Santiago Bernabéu beyond 2027 with an improved salary.
His lack of presence in the UEFA Champions League against Brest has nothing to do with the transfer business.
The Brazil international will simply be serving his one-match ban for receiving a third yellow card in the league stage of the competition.
