Crystal Palace have made a £20million bid for Everton’s Dwight McNeil.
The 26-year-old Toffees winger could be on his way to south London.
Palace have submitted a deal sheet to get the move done after the window has slammed shut.
McNeil has been a big performer for the Toffees in recent seasons, with 34 goal contributions since his move from Burnley in 2022.
Palace’s move for the winger may have come too late in the window for Everton to be willing to sell up.
Here, Transfer News Blitz writer Emily Clogg discusses the potential move and its likelihood.

IS DWIGHT MCNEIL A GOOD FIT?
I think it’s safe to say that Dwight McNeil has proven himself to be a top-quality lower-half Premier League player.
He shone during his time at Burnley, where he made not only 147 appearances, but also a name for himself in England.
Everton signed McNeil for a reported £20m in 2022.
Three-and-a-half-years later, they look set to recoup that fee from Palace.
At just 25 years old, there remains room for McNeil to grow and develop further as a player.
A SIGN OF INTENT
This would be Palace’s third signing of the 2026 January transfer window.
The Eagles brought in Brennan Johnson from Tottenham Hotspur at the start of the month.
They have announced the long-awaited acquisition of striker Jorgen Strand Larsen, too.
Adding McNeil to the mix would be a clear sign of intent from the Palace board.
Oliver Glasner’s side have struggled so far this season, sitting 15th in the Premier League table.
They have scored just 25 goals this campaign, the fifth-lowest of any side in the league.
With the potential to make it three attackers coming in during the winter window, you can’t say the board haven’t put in a solid effort to try and turn things around at Selhurst Park.
