The 22-year-old left-back could be set to join the City Ground in a deal worth around £2.1m.

Netz has entered the final six months of his Monchengladbach contract.

WHY LUCA NETZ?

Nottingham Forest have been heavily linked with a new left-back following the departure of Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Zinchenko has joined Ajax on a permanent transfer, having been on loan at Forest from Arsenal since the summer.

Luca Netz has impressed during his time in the Bundesliga, having featured 124 times for Monchengladbach.

During this time, he’s bagged himself an impressive 18 assists from left-back, proving himself as an attacking talent in the backline.

In 2024, Netz was the subject of interest from a number of top Premier League clubs.

Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Newcastle United were all reported to have been interested in the services of the then-20-year-old.

It’s safe to say Netz is highly rated across Europe, but it is Forest who look set to bring him in.

Manager Sean Dyche will be hoping Netz can live up to the hype at the City Ground to help keep Forest away from relegation danger.
