Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara has suggested that Joao Gomes has outgrown Wolves and should leave the club in the summer.
In an exclusive interview with 10bet, the talkSPORT pundit has had his say on the situation Gomes finds himself in towards the end of the season.
Wolves have had a dismal campaign and currently reside at the bottom of the Premier League, 17 points from safety.
Here, Transfer News Blitz writer Emily Clogg discusses the comments from O’Hara and whether or not Gomes has a future at Molineux.

TOO GOOD FOR WOLVES
The general consensus is that Gomes may have outgrown Wolves this season, and O’Hara agrees.
Speaking about the 25-year-old, he said: “He isn’t going to be playing Championship football next season, that’s for sure.
“He’s been playing in a relegation team who are going down. He’s a good player.
“So, listen, we’ll see. Someone will take him.”
Gomes has started 26 matches across all competitions for Wolves this season, and is a 10-time Brazil international.
IS A BIG MOVE ON THE CARDS?
With Premier League football a long-shot for Wolves next season, it’s expected that a number of their stars may be on the move in the summer – including Gomes.
Having proven his quality at the lower-end of the table, it might be time for a top-half club to take a punt on his services.
Joining a top-four club might be a step too far for the midfielder though, argues O’Hara.
He said: “Can he go and play for a top club? I don’t know.
“I mean, he’s a decent player, don’t get me wrong, and he showed some signs, but Wolves have had a tough season and it’s easy to shine in a struggling side when they’re bottom of the league and you put in some half decent performances.
“It’s a big step up. We see it with players, we see it with managers.
“You can perform at clubs further down the table, but if you go and play for a massive club, it’s a different story.”
It remains to be seen where Gomes will be playing his football next season.
It is unlikely, though, that it will be at Molineux Stadium.
