According to ESPN, Tottenham Hotspur have agreed deals to sign winger Mykhailo Mudryk and centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo from Chelsea.
Mudryk is set to join on a season-long loan with an option to buy, while Spurs have agreed a fee of around £7 million ($9.5m) for centre-back Tosin.
If both moves go through before the transfer deadline, it will take Tottenham’s summer arrivals to ten. Their total spending is approaching the £400 million mark.
Spurs had been chasing Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo and Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye. Those deals did not happen. Ndiaye is now expected to leave for Manchester City.
Tottenham have since made a late approach for Mudryk.
Mudryk’s long absence
The 25-year-old Ukrainian has not played a competitive club game since November 2024.
He was banned for 20 months after returning an adverse urine sample. A resolution was later reached between the Football Association and the World Anti-Doping Agency, clearing him to play again.
He featured in part of Chelsea’s pre-season but has not been in any matchday squads this season.
Mudryk is something of a gamble. However, Chelsea have made it clear they want the Ukrainian to get regular minutes, even if that means a loan move to another club rather than a permanent departure.
Positively, he has a previous connection with Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi. The pair worked together at Shakhtar Donetsk, where Mudryk broke into the first team before his big-money move to Chelsea in January 2023.

Tosin as defensive cover
Tosin, 28, is seen as a potential replacement for Kevin Danso.
De Zerbi said after their 2-0 home defeat to Newcastle in Premier League Matchweek 2 that Danso, Richarlison and Pape Matar Sarr have all asked to leave the club. Danso is close to a move to Sunderland.
The double deal gives Tottenham more options in attack and defence as the window closes.
Mudryk offers pace and width on the left. Tosin brings experience and physical presence at the back.
Both players still need to complete formalities before tonight’s deadline. If they do, it will mark another busy day in a high-spending summer for Spurs under De Zerbi.
