Arsenal news: Gunners ‘in contact’ with Bayern Munich star Kingsley Coman
All eyes have been on the Champions League at the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal seemingly have one foot in the semi-finals.
The Gunners travel to the Santiago Bernabéu on Wednesday with a three-goal advantage over Spanish titans Real Madrid.
While the season has certainly entered the ‘business end’ of proceedings, Mikel Arteta is already looking ahead to the North Londoners' next campaign.
Arsenal eyeing Kingsley Coman
As per Florian Plettenberg, Arsenal have been in contact with Kinglsey Coman’s camp over a potential summer move to N5.
The Frenchman is reportedly expected to part ways with Bayern Munich, where he has struggled to nail down a regular place in Vincent Kompany’s starting lineup.
The Bavarians are expected to demand a fee of around €35-40million for the winger, however, could up their asking price for Saudi Arabian clubs.
Al Hilal, Al Nassr and Al Ittihad are believed to be among the Saudi Pro League sides interested in the 28-year-old.
Out of favour at the Allianz Arena
With the arrival and emergence of Michael Olise, Coman has fallen down the pecking order at Bayern.
The French international has made 35 appearances for the German outfit this season, with just over half of those coming from the bench.
Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sané have been rumoured to leave the club, however, the German duo are now set to stay at the Allianz next season.
With 10 goal contributions in all competitions this campaign, there is no doubt that Coman still has plenty to offer.
The forward is also a notorious winner, having won 12 league titles in his career with Bayern, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus.
Arsenal are in the market for a versatile winger, with Athletic Club winger Nico Williams linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium as well.
Compared to the Spaniard, Coman offers a wealth of experience, which could be crucial to Arteta’s side, who will be hoping to mount another Premier League title charge next season.
