As we know, the revolving door at Manchester United never truly stops spinning, and January is shaping up to be no different. Supporters can expect both arrivals and departures as the club once again looks to reshape its squad.
As is tradition on the red side of Manchester, a host of names have already been linked with moves to Old Trafford, while several current players could be shown the exit door.
United currently sit sixth in the Premier League but continue to struggle for consistency – an issue that could force the club into action during the winter window.

CONOR GALLAGHER (IN)
Recent reports suggest Manchester United are interested in signing Atlético Madrid midfielder Conor Gallagher – but the bigger question remains: would Gallagher actually want the move?
It’s no secret that new signings at Old Trafford do not always experience the smoothest transitions, and that uncertainty could play a role in the Englishman’s thinking.
Currently settled in sunny Madrid, Gallagher may be reluctant to return to England so soon after leaving Chelsea.
However, United’s push for Champions League qualification could prove tempting. A return to the Premier League, combined with the chance to play a key role at one of England’s biggest clubs, may appeal to the 24-year-old.
At present, nothing is concrete, but Gallagher is certainly a name to keep an eye on as the January window approaches.
KOBBIE MAINOO (OUT)
After his half-brother wore a “Free Kobbie Mainoo” shirt at Old Trafford earlier this week, speculation around the midfielder’s future has intensified.
A loan move away from United in January now feels increasingly possible.
The 20-year-old has reportedly attracted interest from Serie A giants Napoli, as well as several clubs in the Premier League and Bundesliga, all keen to offer him regular first-team football.
United manager Ruben Amorim recently addressed Mainoo’s situation when asked about his playing time: “You love Kobbie, he starts for England. But that doesn’t mean I need to put Kobbie in when I feel that I shouldn’t put Kobbie in, so it’s my decision.”
The message is clear – Amorim will make selections based on what he believes is best for the team, regardless of outside pressure.
Whether that leads to a temporary exit for Mainoo remains to be seen.
TYLER ADAMS (IN)
Tyler Adams may not be the most glamorous name linked with Manchester United, but he could prove to be a sensible and effective addition.
Reports have suggested the American international has been discussed internally as a potential target, either in January or next summer.
Adams has been a regular for AFC Bournemouth this season, featuring in 15 of their 16 Premier League matches.
As is often the case, when a club of United’s stature comes calling, it can be difficult for a player to ignore the opportunity.
At 26, Adams could see a move to Old Trafford as a major step in his career.
Unfortunately, his chances to impress potential suitors were cut short on Monday night, as he was forced off after just five minutes due to injury.
That setback may delay any immediate transfer talk, but United’s interest is unlikely to disappear.
