Brazilian star Rodrygo could be on the move this summer after rumours that he is currently unhappy with his playing time at the Spanish giants, with Premier League clubs monitoring the situation of the winger.

Rumours of unrest have swirled for some time now, but it seems being out of favour in former manager Xabi Alonso’s system has put the final nail in the coffin for the versatile winger.

Despite the exit of the manager in January, rumours persisted, indicating Rodrygo’s mind is already made up on his future.

Possible suitors

Possible suitors for the 25-year-old include Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool so far, although no doubt Manchester United’s interest will be perked if he becomes available.

Potential transfer fees have been mentioned at around €80million-€100million, with reports suggesting Rodrygo’s representatives are already out scouring for suitors.

Perhaps the destination that makes the most sense is Arsenal, who have been reportedly monitoring the situation for some time.

Liverpool and Man City are in fact the clubs who have made offers for the two-time Champions League winner, with an initial offer of €80million by Liverpool being later raised to €90million by City.

As Rodrygo prepares to leave the Santiago Bernabeu, his future club will likely have to match or raise his current weekly wage, which is rumoured to be €320,000 per week.

PSG in the running

Surprisingly throwing their hat into the ring are the reigning European champions Paris Saint-Germain, who look to bolster their already stacked attacking options.

Rodrygo’s versatility in attack would provide whichever club he signs for with more options across the front line.

His memorable match-winning brace against Manchester City in the Champions League semi-final in 2022 remains part of one of the greatest comebacks in the competition’s history.

Rodrygo’s situation seems one to keep a keen eye on as Europe’s top clubs begin to line up for the superstar’s signature.
