Chelsea news: Blues set for huge summer clearout as Enzo Maresca eyes Liam Delap and Benjamin Šeško
Chelsea’s squad are set for a mass exodus in the summer, as Enzo Maresca looks to rebuild his squad.
The Blues are well in the mix for Champions League football next season, however, have Manchester City, Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove Albion breathing down their necks.
Qualification for Europe’s prestige competition would more than aid the West London club’s bid to bring in top talent this summer, but who could be heading in and out of Stamford Bridge?
As reported by the Mail+, as many as 11 first-team players could be set to leave Chelsea this summer to fund a new centre-forward.
Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell set to leave Chelsea
Two names rumoured to depart Chelsea in the upcoming transfer window are Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell.
It is no secret that the English duo have been deemed surplus to requirements by Maresca, with the two former England internationals currently away from the club on loan.
Sterling joined London rivals Arsenal last summer, however, has failed to impress at the Emirates Stadium.
Mikel Arteta has favoured playing youngster Ethan Nwaneri over the 30-year-old, even with Bukayo Saka sidelined.
On the other hand, Chilwell, who won the Champions League with Chelsea in 2021, joined Crystal Palace in January.
The 28-year-old has so far made five appearances for the Eagles after playing a solitary match for the Blues in the Carabao Cup.
It will be hard for Chelsea to move either player on this summer, with Sterling earning a reported £300,000 a week and Chilwell £200,000.
AC Milan looking at Noni Madueke
Another senior player who has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge is winger Noni Madueke.
The 23-year-old is a target for Italian giants AC Milan, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.
Madueke has played a huge part in Maresca’s squad this season, scoring eight goals and contributing four assists in all competitions.
It is hard to see the Englishman leave the Blues in the summer, but for the right price, anything could happen.

Liam Delap and Benjamin Šeško linked with Chelsea
As per David Ornstein, Chelsea are considering moves for either Liam Delap or Benjamin Šeško.
The West London club will face stiff competition for both players, who have been heavily linked with moves away from Ipswich Town and RB Leipzig, respectively.
Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are all keen on Šeško, whereas a host of Premier League sides have been impressed by Delap’s performances this season.
The Englishman has scored 10 league goals for the Tractor Boys, who look certain to drop back into the Championship.
Whereas, Šeško has found the back of the net 17 times in all competitions and has Champions League experience.
Both forwards would be great additions to Maresca’s side but would certainly cost a pretty penny.
