Manchester United are leading the race for Lecce left-back Patrick Dorgu ahead of Premier League rivals Chelsea.
The Red Devils have had their search for a new left-back boosted after agreeing personal terms with Danish full-back Patrick Dorgu.
The 20-year-old has impressed for Lecce this season, establishing himself as one of the Serie A’s most mercurial talents.
Despite an initial proposal of €27million being turned down by the Italian club, journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that United are preparing a new offer for the defender, with the player keen on a move to Old Trafford.
If the Manchester club can get a deal over the line for Dorgu, they will acquire a versatile player with the skillset required to fulfil the demands of a traditional Ruben Amorim left-wing-back.
Alejandro Garnacho saga continues
Alejandro Garnacho’s future at the Red Devils is still up in the air as interest from Chelsea increases.
United have recently rejected a €50million proposal from Antonio Conte’s Napoli for the Argentina international, as the Serie A side continues to look for a Khvicha Kvaratskhelia replacement.
As per Romano, Chelsea are set to swoop in and formally approach United for Garnacho, after holding talks with the Argentine’s camp.
This comes after David Ornstein reported that Man United will reluctantly have to consider the sales of Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo to help comply with financial rules.
The 20-year-old winger has fallen out of favour under Amorim, who prefers to play Bruno Fernandes on the left.
Antony nears Old Trafford exit
As reported by numerous sources, Antony is set to depart United for LaLiga side Real Betis.
The Spanish club have agreed on a loan deal for the 24-year-old, with personal terms already agreed.
The Brazilian made the bench for Manchester United’s dramatic 2-1 win over Rangers in the Europa League, however was an unused substitute.
