Man Utd news: Ruben Amorim actively monitoring Juventus star Kenan Yıldız
Manchester United could be in line to record their worst league finish since 1990, with the Red Devils currently 13th in the Premier League table.
Ruben Amorim, who took over at Old Trafford last November, has endured a tough reign in Manchester so far.
This season has certainly been a write-off for United, as Amorim has already begun to shift his focus to the Red Devils’ next campaign.
The Portuguese boss has outlined Juventus attacker Kenan Yıldız as a key target for the upcoming summer transfer window.
Manchester United ‘monitoring’ Kenan Yıldız
According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Manchester United have been ‘monitoring’ Yıldız since December.
However, the 19-year-old reportedly has ‘no plans’ to leave Juventus in the summer and is ‘very comfortable’ at the club.
The Turkish international still has four years left on his contract at the Serie A club, meaning any potential deal will surely be very expensive.
United also have RB Leipzig attacking midfielder Xavi Simons on their radar, who is also a summer target for Premier League rivals Liverpool.
How good is Kenan Yıldız?
After spending 10 years in Bayern Munich’s youth set-up, Yıldız moved to the Old Lady in 2022.
Since then, the Turkish forward has made 73 appearances for Juventus and lifted the Italian Cup with the Serie A giants last season.
Able to play across the front line, Yıldız’s versatility is a hugely appealing attribute.
The youngster has enjoyed a great campaign, having scored six goals and contributed four assists so far.
It is no surprise that some of Europe’s biggest clubs are beginning to take note of Yıldız, however, it appears that Juventus will likely keep their man next season.
