Premier League betting tips: Liverpool and Arsenal tipped as favourites to sign Alexander Isak

In what is shaping up to be THAT annoying rumour that lasts the entire transfer window, Alexander Isak has been linked with a huge move away from Newcastle United in the summer.

Arsenal and Liverpool appear to be the most likely destinations for the Swede, however, the Magpies have set a huge price tag in excess of £120million.

There is every chance that the striker will remain at St. James’ Park, but one thing is for sure - Isak is going to cost an absolute bomb.

Transfer News Blitz’s Content Editor Edward Moss has found the best odds on the 25-year-old’s future, and who knows, if you bet smartly, even you might be able to afford Isak… for a couple of minutes at least anyway…

Stay at Newcastle United

With the enormity of the fee that will be needed to prise Isak out of Newcastle, the Sweden international may well stay in the North East.

However, if Newcastle fail to qualify for the Champions League, the striker could well force Eddie Howe’s hand.

Whilst the Magpies will be expecting a nine-figure sum, the hierarchy at St. James’ Park will surely receive a lot of tempting offers in the summer.

BEST ODDS: 8/13 (bet365)

Liverpool

Liverpool are 15 points clear at the top of the Premier League table and look sure to be crowned champions come May.

Arne Slot is reportedly planning a huge summer overhaul of his squad, and Isak is right at the top of the Dutchman’s shopping list.

Several senior players are expected to leave Anfield, such as Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota, so in theory, the Reds could easily raise the required funds for the Swede.

With Champions League football on offer, Merseyside is a safe bet for Isak’s next club.

BEST ODDS: 3/1 (bet365)

Barcelona

Spanish giants Barcelona have surprisingly good odds in relation to signing Newcastle’s main man.

The La Liga side already have Robert Lewandowski to spearhead their attack, and despite the Polish forward’s age, he is still banging in the goals.

Combine that with the fact that Barca are always skint, it is hard to see a move materialise.

BEST ODDS: 7/1 (bet365)

Arsenal

Arsenal are in dire need of a new centre-forward, and would be a hugely viable option for Isak if the forward is to leave Newcastle.

The Gunners have watched their Premier League title hopes crumble as injuries and a lack of a clinical striker have taken their toll.

Whilst Mikel Arteta is certainly dreaming of adding Isak to his star-studded squad, it is more likely that the North Londoners will move for a cheaper alternative, such as Benjamin Šeško.

Failing that, you can expect Arsenal to bring in another left-back and central defender and stick with Mikel Merino upfront.

BEST ODDS: 8/1 (bet365)

Chelsea

The Blues are reportedly set for a fairly quiet summer transfer window - by their standards anyway - with Manchester United’s Kobbie Mainoo a top target for Enzo Maresca.

However, this is Chelsea we’re talking about, and it would be no surprise to see the West Londoners launch a huge bid for Isak.

According to Caught Offside, the Blues will have to raise funds to make any significant signings this summer.

Although, with Todd Boehly at the helm of Stamford Bridge, anything is possible.

BEST ODDS: 20/1 (bet365)
