Soccer betting tips: Victor Gyökeres tipped with Premier League move, Manchester United and Chelsea favoured

Seemingly linked with a move away from Sporting ever since swapping Coventry for Portugal in 2023, Viktor Gyökeres has been tipped to leave the Portuguese club this summer.

In the last two years, the Swede has well and truly established himself as one of Europe’s hottest centre-forwards, scoring 83 goals in 91 appearances for Sporting.

Coventry City reportedly have a 10% sell-on clause, and will be hoping their former frontman’s red-hot form will earn them a hefty cash injection in the summer.

Transfer News Blitz’s Content Editor Edward Moss has found the best odds on Gyökeres’ future, with hopes that you could be in line for a nice summer profit, just like Frank Lampard.

Stay at Sporting

With a little over three years left on Gyökeres’ current deal, Sporting are in a great position to keep hold of their main man.

The Leões look set to play Champions League football next season as the club sit three points clear at the top of the Liga Portugal.

There is every chance that the Swedish international will stay at the Portuguese outfit this summer, especially if they can qualify for Europe’s pedigree club competition once again.

BEST ODDS: 4/5 (Unibet / BetMGM UK)

Manchester United

Manchester United are the bookies' favourites to sign Gyökeres in the upcoming transfer window, despite the fact the Red Devils are reportedly skint and look on course to miss out on European football altogether next season.

Current United boss Ruben Amorim knows the Swede well, having worked with the striker during his time at Sporting.

The 40-year-old could convince his former talisman to move to Old Trafford, but a lack of Champions League football will not help his cause.

If I were you, I’d steer clear of putting my money on Manchester United.

BEST ODDS: 6/4 (Unibet / BetMGM UK)

Chelsea

After a strong start to the season, Chelsea’s form has fallen off a cliff.

The Blues are currently clinging on to fourth place in the Premier League, but with just five points separating Enzo Maresca’s side and AFC Bournemouth in 10th, the West Londoners need to get their act together.

It seems as though Chelsea have infinite money, with Todd Boehly already splashing £62million on Sporting youngsters Geovany Quenda and Dário Essugo.

Gyökeres could well join the duo at Stamford Bridge, with the Blues ready to bring in a new centre-forward ahead of next season.

BEST ODDS: 2/1 (Unibet / BetMGM UK)

Arsenal

Whilst Spanish midfielder Mikel Merino has scored four goals in seven games as a makeshift striker for Arsenal, it is safe to say the Gunners are in dire need of a new frontman.

Alexander Isak and Benjamin Šeško have been heavily linked with a move to N5, but it is no secret that Mikel Arteta is a long-standing admirer of Gyökeres.

With Newcastle United reportedly set to demand upwards of £150million for Isak, Gyökeres offers a cheaper alternative, valued at almost half the price.

Arsenal have several positions they need to reinforce this summer, so it would be no surprise if the Gunners were to revisit their interest in the Swede.

BEST ODDS: 4/1 (Unibet / BetMGM UK)

Liverpool

Another Premier League side seemingly desperate for a new centre-forward, Liverpool are also a viable destination for the Swedish international.

The Reds are favourites to sign Isak, however, much like Arsenal could be outpriced for the Magpies forward and turn to alternate targets.

Arne Slot is reportedly gearing up for a huge overhaul of his squad in the summer – could Gyökeres be the Dutchman’s marquee signing?

BEST ODDS: 11/1 (Unibet / BetMGM UK)
